Artist Statement

My name is Brenna Preisinger, I'm 18 and a senior. I love to travel, hang out with friends, play with my dog, cook and watch sports. I've been taking photography since I was a freshman, and this is my sixth time taking it. I almost didn't take this class but I'm so glad I did. I now have my grampy's old Minolta film camera and bring it on trips with me. I do prefer color film because it shows more areas and looks more lively, but I still like b&w a lot too. The color photos in the background of this page and my front page I took in August 2023 in New York City. I plan to major in Food Science at Kansas State University and also volunteer in Cape Town, South Africa during my time at K-State. After college I will be moving to Boulder, Colorado and might also attend the Escoffier Culinary School there.  My favorite types of photos to take are definitely ones of nature/landscapes, my dog and Earth in general.
